“I don’t remember who said this, but there really are places in the heart you don’t even know exist until you love a child.” Anne Lamott

Life is what we make it and we have to make it good for our kids. Every day almost I awake and look at my phone, in the news section there is always something about a  child being beaten to death, being killed because he did not want to eat breakfast, being shot because of someone else’s carelessness. Kids are fun and mean, dirty, very loud, they jump off everything, and throw tantrums when they cant get what they want, but at the end of the day it’s them expressing themselves. I have seen my child do some things that drives my husband and I crazy, but the more we looked at him we saw that as much attention he was getting he just really wanted more, but he is smart, sweet, honest, kind and loving. I have never felt the kind of love my children made me feel anywhere else and that’s because it is beyond measurable. I think parent and guardians hurt kids because they are hurt, they blame their kids because they have always been blamed, they abuse their kids because they have been abused, but it’s the most ignorant form of excuse, because what hurt we felt by or from someone else should never reach our kids from us. We are supposed to protect them from what we went through, show them better, want better for them. What I wish for, is to see a world where kids are no longer the victims of abuse. Parents need to seek help when it is needed, kids need to stop being their punching bags and their therapists, it is inhumane and they do not deserve it. Kids tend to do what they see, myself as a mother have argued in front my kids and i’m not proud of it, but we came to an understanding that as parents we will speak when they are sleeping or not around, because as humans we will argue, we will clash but our kids are the image of us. Find ways to keep your relationship strong and to handle adult things without involving children. I am firm believe on this, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” Frederick Douglass
